Jarman Joins Blues

On the day that pre-season training began, Bluebird’s manager Derek Brazil, announced the signing of former Cardiff City, Exeter, and Oxford United central defender Lee Jarman. Speaking after the fitness session in the morning Derek said, “I am delighted that Lee has decided to join us. Just as with Tyrrell Webbe, many clubs were after his services, and his decision to sign for us is a reflection on the players and staff at the club. Lee has had good reports about how the club is run, and is looking forward to linking up with the rest of the squad on Tuesday.”

Jarman, who made over 100 appearances in the English League system, represented Wales at U-21 level, and played for Barry Town alongside current Bluebird Tom Ramasut, joins Haverfordwest after playing for Newport county last season. 

The Gaffer also said, “Lee reminds me of myself. He is a footballing centre-half who’s maturity and ability will rub off on other players. He will bring more experience to the side, and his composure will have a calming effect on the team.”

Jarman’s composure was evident when he scored the winning penalty in last season’s FAW Cup semi-final against Cardiff City, when he played against one of County’s other close season signings, Tyrrell Webbe.

Talking about this morning’s session, the Gaffer said that he was delighted with the turn out, and that the level of fitness shown by the squad was a lot higher than he expected. The first team will be training again on Tuesday night at 7:00pm.
