Match Score : 2-1
Cambrian and Clydach
After quite a good first half at the Cambrian fortress, the Blues were forced to surrender a 1-0 lead in the dying minutes and were left ruing a number of earlier misses as Cambrian scored in the 85th and 96th minutes.
The Blues took the lead in the 11th minute with a lovely curling 20-yard shot from LEE TRUNDLE. They continued to get the better of the first half exchanges with Sean Pemberton and Alaric Jones outstanding in defence, Ricky Watts winning almost everything in midfield and Ben Fawcett very enterprising up front. But Cambrian who have recently been involved in re-shaping their side with local talent and are maybe a year ahead of the Blues along that road, were always going to be a tough nut to crack and were able to hold their nerve in the closing minutes.
Fawcett, Trundle and Danny Williams all missed good chances for the Blues but the lead stayed intact until the last 10 minutes of the game when Cambrian equalized with an 85th minute penalty before snatching a winner in the 6th minute of injury time.
