Supporter’s Association News in brief...

The Supporters Association has a couple of events coming up in the run up to Christmas. On the 27th November a Christmas and greeting cards fayre between 11am & 4pm. On the 9th of December, they will be hosting another of their very popular Psychic evenings with local medium Karen Wilson . The evening is scheduled to start at 7:30. For ticket information please contact Eddie at the club.
Following on from that on the 14th of December, there will be a Christmas Turkey Bingo. The caller will be Bill Carne. Doors are at 6:00pm with eyes down At 7:30. These evenings, with Bill’s own special way of calling have always been popular so  best get in early to get your seat.
Finally from now until the 14th of December the Association will be selling squares on their Christmas Lottery. Squares cost 25p and for more details contact any Association member via the club. Squares will be available at the home games in the bar.

The Supporter’s Association have announced the new line up of the Committee for the new season the new Chairman is Allan Thomas, and Alan Adams remains as Vice Chairman. David Lewis and Barrie Webb continue in the posts of Treasurer and Secretary respectively. Kevin Haldane takes over as fundraising co-ordinator, with Eddie Bunston and Terry Jones as ordinary committee members.
The Associations’ main activities are aimed at raising the profile of the club within the county and raising much needed funds for the club. Membership is £10 and £7 for OAPs. Benefits of membership include £1 off entry to home games, a 10% discount from the club shop and subsidised travel to away games.  To join see any committee member or ask for details at the bar or shop.

At the AGM of the Supporters Association on the 8th of July, Allan Thomas was elected unopposed as Chairman. Allan was previously in charge of fundraising and that position has been taken up by Kevin Haldane. Barry Webb and David Lewis were elected to the posts of Secretary and Treasurer respectively, and Alan Adams was re-elected to the position of Vice Chairman. Terru Jones and Eddie Bunston complete the make up of the new committee.
Going in to the new season, the Supporter’s Association will be continuing to fund raise and promote the profile of the football club in the county.
A club spokesman said “We are grateful for all that the Association does for the club, and wish Allan well in his new role as Chairman. We have always had a good relationship with the Association and do not see that changing in the future. “
